[1500 CHU] [C.Annuum] Ancho Grande is the favorite chili pepper in Mexico. Large (about 10 cm long and 6 cm wide) and triangular in shape, the walls are thin with a flavor: rich, soft and slightly spicy.

This chili pepper continuously produces during the summer, in climates that preferably have hot days and cool nights.

The chillies pepers are very dark, close to black-green and are still immature, at this stage they are known by the name Poblano. As they mature and turn red, they look for the name of Ancho. If you bring them to continue until the dried stage with the dark brown color, they are called Mulato.

At all stages, they have a delicate and smoked flavor.

Ancho Grande is widely used in Mexican gastronomy because of its particular taste. Not only in powder or as a sauce, but also as an exquisite container for meat or cheese fillings (the equivalent of our recipes of stuffed peppers).

These chillies peppers can become a colorful addition to the garden and a delicious addition to the kitchen.
