Cayenne Purple seeds

[30,000 SHU][C. Annum] Cayenne Purple is a chromatic variant of the common cayenne pepper. Once the fruits reach maturation, they turn bright purple in color as we can see in the photo.  

The plant reaches 60 cm in height and the fruits mature in 85-95 days, it can also produce up to 50 peppers per plant if grown properly. 

Information for growing:

Light: full sun

Space between plants: At least 20 cm of distance.

Soil: Well-drained, soil rich in nutrients is preferable, pH 6.2-7.0.

water: Keep the soil constantly moist during the growth stage without stagnant water. 

Temperature: This variety enjoys a hot climate. Frost can damage the plants, in some cases they can also die. 

Common problems: If the temperature exceeds 33 °C in full sun, the low leaves can fall and the higher leaves will develop more vigorously. It may seem like a problem but it is simply a result of the plant adapting, the new leaves will develop many new branches and lots of chillies! 

Generally, parasites are not a problem, but pay attention to aphids, snails, insects and leaf-miners.

This chilli variety is: very meaty, flavorful, spicy, and rich in vitamins A and C and antioxidants. 

Grow it in full sun, do not water excessively.
