Honey is a natural sweetener beloved by adults and children alike.
There are various types available today, with flavors from sweet to bitter, as well as sophisticated and aromatic.
Adding a hint of chilli pepper to honey is an excellent way to balance that delicious sweetness with a kick of spicy chilli.
100 ml of Acacia honey
1/2 teaspoon of chilli powder
Place the honey in a bowl. The honey should be liquidy and not too thick.
Dust the honey with the chilli powder and mix vigorously.
Pour the mixture into a jar and store.
Chilli honey can be more or less spicy depending on your preference.
It is best to use a more liquidy, thin honey in order to achieve a more homogeneous mixture.
Chilli honey makes a great accompaniment to fresh and aged cheeses.
